Style and Design
The first thing that you are going to notice about this Nerf Doomlands blaster is that it is not like anything that we’ve covered before. At first glance, the Nerf Doomlands 2169 Double Dealer looks like a crossbow.
While that would certainly be an exciting addition to the series, it is not a crossbow. However, this unique take on what blasters should look like really adds to the likeability of this weapon.
Beyond the change in design, the Double Dealer still contains many of the elements of the Doomlands series.
The body features golden bronze and dark orange that we see in the rest of the line and comes with the crowd-favorite transparent section towards the front of the blaster (although it looks cooler because of the change in structure for this weapon).
You also see this transparency in the clips featured on this blaster. Overall, in regards to style, this blaster definitely blows other products out of the water.
Ammo Capacity
The ammo capacity on this weapon is definitely another area where the Double Dealer stands out. Equipped with two, 12-dart clips systems on either side of the weapon, this blaster can hold an impressive 24 darts at a time.

Darts - Firing Style and Range
Just when you think that the Double Dealer couldn’t get any more unique, they change up the firing style. This blaster, while it certainly conceals it well, actually uses a pump-action priming mechanism to fire your darts.
Simply grab hold of the handle at the front, pull it back and forward, and fire your darts at will. You’ll also notice that this blaster has another interesting feature, which is the fact that it fires two darts at once.
Where it falls a bit short is in the firing distance as you will only get about 40 feet out of this weapon, making it a better option for close to mid-range blasting.

What We Like
- Unique Design: While the design of a weapon is no the most important thing about it, it certainly helps to boost its likability factor. The Nerf Doomlands 2169 Double Dealer blaster has one of the most unique bodies in the line, which is definitely a bonus for enthusiasts who want something that differs from the average product.
- Easy to Load: Any blaster that comes with clips makes it easier to reload your weapon and get right back to the action. The Double Dealer comes with two clips systems that hold 12 darts each and can be easily preloaded and tucked away for future use.
If you need a weapon that not only meets your ammo expectations but makes it easy to load and reload your ammo, this may be the next weapon for you.
- Plenty of Ammo: It’s hard to find manual blasters out there that have the ammo you need in a serious Nerf battle. If they do come with a large ammo capacity, it typically means that it also takes a substantial amount of time to load and reload that ammo. With 24 darts at your disposal, you will have plenty of ammo to take down the competition with.
- Easy to Operate: The Double Dealer is truly a weapon that was designed for ease-of-use. With its easy-to-load clip systems, its pump-action priming mechanism that doubles as a handle with which to stabilize your gun, and its massive shoulder stock that helps you to take more accurate shots, you won’t have a problem operating your Double Dealer.

What We Don’t Like
- Has a Known Reputation for Jamming: This is a very important section to pay attention to as there are two sides to this disadvantage. The Nerf Doomlands 2169 Double Dealer blaster has a known reputation for jamming, and you can find this reputation advertised everywhere online.
That said, it is important to note that, with blasters like these, how you use them makes a major difference in their performance. If you are not making sure that you are properly loading the clips in, making sure that the jam door is closed tightly, and pumping your blaster all the way every time, you are absolutely going to be dealing with more jams than you would be if you were taking more care in handling the weapon.
You should always look at user reviews but you should also consider how Nerf guns operate and whether or not these issues are reflective of the gun’s build or if they might be a user-related issue.
- Range Could Be Better: An average firing distance of 40-feet is not terrible, but it is considerably shorter than most ranges offered by other blasters. If you plan on doing more long-range combat, this weapon is not the right one for you. If you are looking to target opponents at a closer range, however, this weapon is one you may want to purchase.

Our Verdict: Double Dealer Nerf Doomlands Review
In some areas, the Nerf Doomlands 2169 Double Dealer blaster falls short of our expectations. Potential jamming and a low range can be a deal-breaker for many.
That said, this blaster still has a lot to offer. If you are looking for a unique manual blaster that comes with plenty of ammo, is easy to use, and can fire multiple darts at enemies at a time, you shouldn’t necessarily count the Double Dealer out yet.
Just make sure that you are careful about how you operate it to avoid any of the unnecessary complications listed above!
