Nerf N-Strike Blazin’ Bow Blaster Review
Style and Design
The key to any great Nerf bow is to make sure that you have a user-friendly design that makes it easier to fire foam arrows without making it look too much like a blaster. The Nerf N-Strike Blazin’ Bow executes this perfectly.
Featuring an exciting black and orange body with flames in the center, this stunning, sleek bow comes with a 20-inch wingspan attached to a blaster body that helps players maintain their grip and a more familiar feel while still getting all the fun that comes with using a bow.
If your child wants something novel to add to their collection, the Nerf N-Strike Blazin’ Bow is a great product to introduce to them.

It’s important to remember that a Nerf bow and a Nerf blaster are two entirely different toys. Nerf blasters are designed to hold much more darts, and they’re often much easier to use because of their nature.
This doesn’t mean bows are inefficient or bad by comparison. However, it does mean that you’re only going to have a one-shot bow with less ammo at your disposal.
So, how much ammo does the Nerf N-Strike Blazin’ Bow have to offer? This bow comes with three giant foam arrows that you can fire at the enemy. It can only hold and fire one arrow at a time, so it’s important that you make every shot count!

Firing Style and Range
The good news is that this blaster doesn’t fire darts, which means that you’re not going to have to deal with a priming mechanism each time you want to fire this bow.
Instead, simply put a giant foam arrow onto the front of the Nerf N-Strike Blazin’ Bow, pull back on the handle at the back of the bow, and release it to launch the foam arrow.
The Nerf N-Strike Blazin’ Bow is said to offer a firing range of around 40 feet, which should be more than enough for close-range and mid-range combat.
Don’t want to have to carry around a bunch of giant foam arrows with you wherever you go? Don’t worry! The Nerf N-Strike Blazin’ Bow comes with two additional foam arrow holders located on top of the main body.
Once one arrow has been fired, you have easy access to two more so that you can strike at any other oncoming enemies or recover from a missed shot that took place the first time!
What We Like
- Fun But Familiar Design: Switching from a traditional Nerf blaster to a Nerf bow can be a bit tricky for some players. Fortunately, it’s not too big of a jump when using the Nerf N-Strike Blazin’ Bow. The center of this bow looks and feels very much like a blaster’s body, helping players get the grip they need and the familiar priming they’re already used to without losing the bow element. Also, what’s better than a black and fiery orange body?
- Additional Foam Arrow Storage: While it’s definitely advisable to have more foam arrows on hand, the last thing that your child wants to have to do is chase down the arrows they’re shooting or rummage around in bags when they’re in need of a reload. The two foam arrow storage holders on the Nerf N-Strike Blazin’ Bow make it easier for your child to access the ammo they need when they need it most.
- Good Distance: One of the biggest issues that innovative toys face is the fact that their functionality simply doesn’t match up with how players expected them to perform. But while this may be true for other blasters, this isn’t true of the Nerf N-Strike Blazin’ Bow. Despite the switch to massive foam ammo and a new firing style, the arrows on this bow can fly up to 40 feet. That’s plenty of power to ensure that your child can have fun with this bow when they head into their next Nerf battle.
- Real Bow Action: Of course, it’s important to note that this blaster offers real bow action. The product might not perform exactly like a bow, but it’s not close to how a traditional blaster functions. Just pull back on the priming mechanism and let go when you want to fire. If your child doesn’t like other Nerf bows that look like bows but function much more like blasters, the Nerf N-Strike Blazin’ Bow is a good product to choose out for them.
What Could Be Improved
It’s very rare that we have nothing to say about a blaster, but there doesn’t appear to be anything inherently wrong with this blaster.
As long as you use it as instructed, make sure that your child takes care of it so as to avoid causing any damage that might make the blaster unusable, and keep the foam arrows in good condition, they should have a blast with the Nerf N-Strike Blazin’ Bow!
If you’re looking for a bow for your child, the Nerf N-Strike Blazin’ Bow is an excellent product to consider. With a fun design that’s easy to use for children, additional foam arrow storage so that they don’t have to pick up arrows or carry a bag full of them around the battlefield, and good performance that makes using this bow a blast, the Nerf N-Strike Blazin’ Bow is a well-designed blaster that’s a great addition to any collection. Don't forget your extra arrows
