Re-skinned weapons that build upon the original blaster and improve it for a new line can breathe new life into some of our old favorites. Take, for example, the Alpha Trooper.
The Nerf N-Strike Elite Alpha Trooper CS-6 Mission Kit is a blaster that has been reinvigorated for re-entry into the Nerf Elite series, offering improved performance and an even better design.
If the Nerf N-Strike Elite Alpha Trooper CS-6 Mission Kit has made it onto someone’s wish list, here’s what you need to know about this blaster and whether or not it’s the right pick for a Nerf enthusiast.
Nerf N-Strike Elite Alpha Trooper CS-6 Mission Blaster Review

Style and Design
We’ve seen plenty of unique designs across various Nerf lines. However, when it comes to Nerf N-Strike Elite products, they generally have the same type of style and design across the board. But this is not true for the Nerf N-Strike Elite Alpha Trooper CS-6 Mission Kit.
The Alpha Trooper CS-6 has a striking design, featuring a dark orange blaster body, a dark charcoal grip and priming mechanism, and silver elements throughout.
Besides offering a fresh new take on what a Nerf N-Strike Elite weapon can be, this blaster also looks quite intimidating, which can be a major advantage on the battlefield.
That said, this blaster is still lightweight and easy to use, making it perfect for Nerf players of any age. If you’re in need of an attractive blaster that can perform well in any environment, the Nerf N-Strike Elite Alpha Trooper CS-6 Mission Kit is a great choice.
Ammo Capacity
The Nerf N-Strike Elite Alpha Trooper CS-6 Mission Kit has an ammo capacity of six darts, all of which are stored in the six-dart clips that come with the blaster.
This makes it simple to reload your blaster when you run out of ammo as well as reload your clips when you find that you no longer have any backup clips available to place in your blaster.
If you’re looking for convenience when it comes to reloading, you’re going to like the Alpha Trooper CS-6.
Firing Style and Range
Another area where the Nerf N-Strike Elite Alpha Trooper CS-6 Mission Kit stands out is in regards to its priming mechanism. The Alpha Trooper CS-6 uses a pump-action priming mechanism.
Just pump the blaster and fire at will (and yes, slam fire is available on this blaster). In regards to the range, the new and improved Alpha Trooper CS-6 advertises a range of 85 feet, which is fairly close to the impressive 90 feet that most Nerf N-Strike Elite blasters have.
Overall, the control and range that you’ll get from this weapon should help you defend yourself against your opponents.
Additional Features
The Nerf N-Strike Elite Alpha Trooper CS-6 Mission Kit comes with a collapsible shoulder stock that can help you steady your aim while you’re out on the battlefield.
Given that pump-action guns come with the difficulty of pumping then having to properly aim and steady your shot, this feature can be very helpful to those who are already anticipating struggling with the pump-action functionality on this weapon.
What We Like
- Easy to Reload: Clip systems are great, especially if you’re using a manual weapon that would traditionally require you to feed the bullets into the front of the gun. Whether you decide to use the six-dart clips that come with the Nerf N-Strike Elite Alpha Trooper CS-6 Mission Kit or you decide to use a larger clip for your blasting needs, this weapon is easy to reload and simple to use.
- Unique Design: Most Nerf blasters offer their own unique designs that offer something exciting to carry around the battlefield. However, when it comes to the Nerf lines themselves, it can be difficult to find a blaster that stands out from other products in their own series. The Nerf N-Strike Elite Alpha Trooper CS-6 Mission Kit is truly its own product, perfect for someone who wants a really unique Nerf blaster.
- Collapsible Shoulder Stock for Accuracy: Pump-action guns can be difficult to wield as the action of pumping your blaster will naturally cause your gun to wave around. With the collapsible shoulder stock, you will have an easier time holding your weapon steady during this process so that you can get better shots.
- Comparable Range: Some products that are reintroduced to a new line may have a lesser performance in comparison to their counterparts. However, when it comes to the Nerf N-Strike Elite Alpha Trooper CS-6 Mission Kit, you only lose five feet, which still gives you a great range given the smaller size of this blaster.
What We Don’t Like
- Have to Be Careful When Loading and Priming Your Weapon: Most Nerfers are well-aware that pump-action blasters can come with the potential to jam. The same goes for weapons that use clip systems. When these two elements are combined, you do have a blaster that may jam from time-to-time. However, this doesn’t seem to be a huge problem for users of this blaster. Remember, it’s important that you load your clip carefully and pump fully each time you prime your blaster. As long as you use your weapon carefully, you should be able to avoid any jams.
Nerf N-Strike Elite Alpha Trooper CS-6 Mission Blaster Review: Our Verdict
Some blasters just don’t improve, no matter how many times you reintroduce the blaster to various Nerf lines. Fortunately, this isn’t true for the Nerf N-Strike Elite Alpha Trooper CS-6 Mission Kit.
Enhanced to meet the performance level of modern Nerf N-Strike Elite series blasters, the Nerf N-Strike Elite Alpha Trooper CS-6 Mission Kit offers an attractive design and features that make this blaster a joy.
With additional features like the collapsible stock (and the fact that this blaster can be modified to improve its performance), the Alpha Trooper CS-6 is sure to provide you with the primary blaster or side weapon you’re looking for.
Overall, this weapon is an excellent choice to introduce to your arsenal.
