Your Go-To Nerf N-Strike Elite Rampage Review

The Nerf N-Strike Elite Rampage is one of Nerf’s blasters that is useful for almost any occasion and is perfect for those who plan on bringing the war to their enemy.
What does this battle-ready blaster have to offer its owners? Let’s take a look…
Design
The Nerf N-Strike Elite Rampage is a blaster that features the traditional color scheme that you would expect from a Nerf gun.
The Rampage has a deep blue that covers the face of the gun and is interwoven with elements of bright silver that streaks across the sides and a bright orange that appears in major sections of the gun such as the jam door, the tip of the gun, the trigger, and the majority of the gun’s large disc drum.
Unlike some of the other products released by Nerf, this Nerf gun doesn’t have the same cartoonish design aspects that you would see in some of the earlier models.
Instead, the dark color scheme and the sleek, tightened body of this gun make it a far more attractive option for both young and old Nerfers alike and give a sense of sophistication to the blaster that makes it all the more exciting to use in a Nerf battle.
Features
Make no mistake, the Nerf N-Strike Elite Rampage may not be as large as some of the other guns on the market but that doesn’t mean that it is unable to perform as well. Price wise, it is one of the best cheapest blasters that you can find.
In fact, the Rampage works well as a primary weapon regardless of the situation due to it's shooting power and can manage all of your needs in battle. To get a better idea of how this works, however, we need to learn about all of its features.
What sets this blaster apart from its competitors is the following…
- The Nerf N-Strike Elite Rampage Nerf gun comes with a dart drum that can hold up to 25 of the Elite series darts.
- This drum fits comfortably on the side of the blaster and makes it easier for users to participate in battles as they can have many other drums loaded and waiting on the sidelines to be popped on when they run out of their current drum.
- Normally, a 25-dart drum would be concerning for most Nerf users but this drum is balanced out by its manual firing system, which requires the user to pump the front of the Nerf gun before firing shots.
- While this may not be as fast as semi-automatic or fully automatic blasters, it gives users the ability to have access to a blaster with slam-fire action so that they can shoot Nerf darts rapidly but won’t have to worry about wasting all of their darts too quickly, which can be inefficient during battle.
- High-capacity 25-dart drum: the nerf rampage blasters drum holds up to 25 darts and includes 25 offi
- Slam-fire action for rapid dart blasting: shoot a rapid-fire dart storm at targets with the toy blas
- Hand-powered blasting up to 90 feet (27 meters): you're in control as you prime and fire the rampage
- Includes 25 darts: includes 25 official nerf elite darts that are designed for distance, tested and
- A jam door located on the side of the gun makes it easier for users to reach in and pull out potentially problematic darts and fix problems as they come.
- Since Nerf guns always have the potential to jam during a battle, this is an extremely helpful feature that many other Nerf guns do not have, giving some an edge over their enemies during crucial times in a war.
- Comes with plenty of tactical rails for those who like to modify their weapon with add-ons and also has a place where a shoulder rest can also be attached as the weapon may be somewhat large to carry and use for smaller Nerf gun users.
Performance
Because this blaster hails from the N-Strike Elite series, it was crafted to provide a better shooting experience than some other blasters.
When it comes to the Nerf N-Strike Elite Rampage blaster specifically, this gun is capable of shooting Nerf darts up to 90 feet, which is a desirable distance for any type of battle setting and comes in handy for both close and long range combat.
In regards to the firing speed itself and its overall efficiency, it works as well as the user who is handling it. Because it does not rely on batteries, the Nerf darts are released as quickly as the user is able to pump the bullets out (some sources have stated that you are able to shoot out approximately 2 darts per second).
As far as accuracy goes, the Rampage also performs really well and is definitely one out of the stand out products when compared to some of the other blasters that Nerf has to offer.
To sum up the performance of this Nerf gun, we would choose the word “excellent”.
Potential Concerns
This blaster is one of the best that Nerf has to offer but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t any issues that could potentially affect user performance.
Here are some of the potential issues that you should be wary of before you make the purchase.
- While this blaster is great for battles and will be an excellent addition to any child’s arsenal, it may not be the right fit for your child.
- This gun can be a little on the larger and bulkier size for certain individuals and it may simply not be the right choice due to the fact that it can be difficult to carry around and use on the battlefield. This may not be an issue with the Nerf gun itself but should be something that should be taken into consideration prior to purchasing the Nerf gun.
- Another issue that is not necessarily a major problem with the gun but a design element that could be problematic for some individuals is the positioning of the dart drum itself.
- Unlike other Nerf offers, the Nerf N-Strike Elite blasters do not have its dart mag attached to the bottom of the gun but instead attaches to the left side of the gun and sticks out rather far. For those who are right-handed or who hold the gun a certain way, this can be a disruptive process that can make the Nerf gun slightly harder to handle during a battle.
- We are grateful that Nerf added a jam door to the Rampage because it makes it much easier to use in the event of a bullet becoming stuck somewhere along the way while it is traveling inside of the Nerf gun’s barrel.
- That being said, the need for this feature is what can be concerning as it tells us that we must absolutely have this feature in order to use the gun properly.
- While it may not as notorious at jamming as some other Nerf guns, it has been said that the slam fire feature can often cause jamming issues if not done correctly.
- If you are someone who does not have the patience for this or needs a blaster that has less of a chance of jamming, the Nerf Rampage may not be for you.
- The Nerf N-Strike Elite Rampage is a great gun but it is something that you need to handle carefully if you wish to get the most out of it. The biggest issue in terms of use that comes to most users is the working of the pump loading mechanism located at the front of the Nerf gun.
- If you don’t load it fully, you run the risk of dealing with a blaster that consistently chews up your bullets and doesn’t spit them out. If you load it too fast, you also open yourself up to this issue.
- Another functionality problem is having to make sure that the drum is properly loaded. Again, this is not a problem with the gun but an issue that some users may not be okay with. If you need a fast Nerf gun that doesn’t lose performance if you make many mistakes, the Rampage is not the best option to pursue.
