My Nerf N-Strike Elite CrossBolt Blaster Review

Many Nerf blasters follow a traditional format that helps you find the experience you are looking for. If you want a handgun, you know which products to look for.

If you are in need of a semi-automatic weapon, you have a large list of products to choose from as well. Some Nerf guns, however, combine multiple different blaster styles to create a truly unique product.

This is something that the Nerf N-Strike Elite CrossBolt blaster embodies quite effectively. If you want to add a unique Nerf blaster to your arsenal, let’s take a closer look at the Nerf N-Strike Elite CrossBolt and whether or not this is the right type of blaster for your needs.

Keep in mind that this is also a relatively new blaster, which means that it also has a block pattern across the sides of the body that serves to give the blaster a camouflage look.

Firing Range and Style

You may be asking, where does the unique aspect of the blaster come in? This lies in the firing mechanism of this blaster. Unlike other blasters, the Nerf N-Strike Elite CrossBolt blaster combines a traditional blaster experience with real crossbow action.

All you have to do is pull back on the priming mechanism at the top, which will draw back the crossbow cord at the top of the blaster as well, and fire at will. Once fired, you can expect your darts to reach a distance of at least 90 feet!

What We Like

  • Unique Design: The Nerf N-Strike Elite CrossBolt offers a unique blasting experience with its hybrid body, which takes on all the best aspects of the Nerf N-Strike Elite series. If you want something that looks good and is far different than what you traditionally see on the battlefield, the CrossBolt is for you.
  • Great Distance: As it is with all Nerf N-Strike series blasters, the CrossBolt is capable of firing foam darts up to 90 feet. This gives you not only access to the ammo that you need to comfortably take down your enemies but the range to do so as well.
  • Ease of Use: Many other bows and crossbows in the Nerf lineup can be difficult to use. Why? The firing mechanisms closely resemble a crossbow experience, which means you have to carefully load your foam arrows or risk misfiring. The CrossBolt streamlines the crossbow firing process by offering a 12-dart clip, a simple priming mechanism, and a small sleek design that makes using the hybrid easy for any Nerf enthusiast.

What We Don’t Like

  • Not the Same Experience As Other Nerf Bow Products: While the Nerf N-Strike Elite CrossBolt blaster can be a more desirable form of some other crossbow products, some people may believe that they are getting something to closer to the latter designs. This is not something that is wrong with the product itself or something that reduces the overall experience. However, it is important that you know exactly what you are getting before you purchase the product. It does have crossbow action, but it is more like a blaster than a crossbow.

Nerf N-Strike Elite CrossBolt Blaster Review: Our Verdict

Hybrid products often go one of two ways: very good or very bad. Fortunately, the Nerf N-Strike Elite CrossBolt blaster falls into the latter category.

With plenty of ammo, an excellent range, and simple operation, you should definitely consider purchasing the Nerf N-Strike Elite CrossBolt blaster if you want something that deviates from the norm but still offers a great blasting experience.
