With a light, short body that is reminiscent of a sawn-off shotgun, the Nerf N-Strike Elite Rough Cut 2x4 is one of the lighter pump-action blasters on the market, which goes a long way in performance during battle and is something that we highly value in Nerf products.
Why is it called the 2x4? Aptly named, this blaster features a long vertical face that holds two rows of ammunition with four Nerf darts in each row. This unique design allows it to compete with some other similar weapons that Nerf offers.

Given the fact that most manual weapons will hold fewer darts than this, this is a fairly good ammo capacity that will allow you to use your 2x4 as a primary weapon or as a reliable side weapon in battle.
While we are on the topic of ammo capacity, we should also mention the ease of reloading that this blaster offers. With a completely open front, you don’t have to struggle with loading your darts into your gun.
All you have to do is pop them in, prime your weapon, and fire at your weapons at your enemy. Given that there are only 8 darts in your Nerf N-Strike Elite Rough Cut 2x4 blaster, you don’t have to worry about shooting all of your darts and then having to take even more time to go through the reloading process.

What We Like
1. Unique and Fun Design: While the Nerf N-Strike series features the same color scheme, they do their best to vary their weapon designs and it shows with the Nerf N-Strike Elite Rough Cut 2x4.
With its unique body cut and blasting experience packed into such a tiny product, this blaster truly stands out from other similar weapons, which makes it an excellent choice for those who need a fun yet refreshing manual blaster in their arsenal.
2. Shoots Multiple Darts at a Time: The concept of shooting multiple darts at a time is by no means a new feature in the Nerf universe, but it can be hard to find a blaster that does it well.
Although it has been reported that the gun will sometimes shoot out more than two darts at a time, you still have the ability to fire multiple darts at your opponent and at distances that are quite impressive. If you want to be a true challenger on the battlefield, the 2x4 is a great weapon to carry into battle.
3. Small Body Allows for Easy Blasting and Movement: Let’s face it; while large Nerf guns are exciting, trying to tote these massive blasters across your chosen battlegrounds can be challenging.

What We Don’t Like
1. Needs to Be Handled With Care: Many users are happy with the Nerf N-Strike Elite Rough Cut 2x4 blaster. The problem? Many others state that their product has broken after extensive use.
This can be due to the fact that pump-action weapons are rather delicate and require the handler to be extra cautious with how they prime and fire the weapon. If you are too rough with your weapon or if you are not pumping correctly, there is always the possibility that the blaster can respond by breaking, which is no fun for anyone.

Despite the fact that it utilizes features like pump-action blasting and dual-firing capabilities, this blaster is well-constructed and performs excellently, which is something that can be difficult to find in similar Nerf blasters.
Although there is the potential for breakage if you are too rough with it, this shouldn’t be too much of a problem seeing as it is a manual weapon that only carries so many darts at a time.
